A FRENCH ADVENTURE

A trail of magic moments led me to Hyeres, a small French town at the southernmost tip of Provence.

Without my usual tools (including my etching press) I’ve wandered into a new creative space: out of my studio, into nature. Painting the sea many times, sitting on the same old stone wall. Every day the sea looked different. Every day I noticed more.

Every day in this gorgeous place, I see beauty: the vistas beyond our backyard, the red tile rooftops, the shadowy mountains hugging the sea, as well as the bougainvillea caressing our front door.
